I don’t know about you, but for a long time I thought all eyeliner pencils were created equal. I was proven horribly, horribly wrong through experience. So – like any good beauty blogger, I began a search for the darkest, most pigmented liner ever. Many recommendations lead me to the same path – Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion. And here is what I found…
The last time I purchased an eyeliner was back when I reviewed the Essence Gel Eyeliner in June of last year. And if i’m not mistaken, it actually took me a while to get that review up! Sadly my little essence pot dried out, a little over a half year later (Is that impressive? Someone tell me!) I still had a bit left but with its death imminent, I decided to seek out a replacement. I ended up buying two (a pencil and another potted liner.) I think you can tell which this is.
This gel offering from Maybelline has been making its rounds on the blogosphere for a while now; and yes i’m going to review it anyway. Mostly because I really can’t stand the idea of posting another blush review after the monstrosity that was the week-without-Larry (the laptop.) Oh. He’s totally back now guys! Well, knock on wood. He goes in for more work than…some celebrity.
A while ago, I went over to Sephora to try out the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes. I had planned on picking up Exposed (a shimmery natural bronze) and Tipsy (a corally orange). Unfortunately, I found that both blushes were really really poorly pigmented on my skin, they barely showed up at all! But, after my positive experience with the natural cheek stains my craving for Tarte products was not saited. What was a girl to do?
This will be a fairly picture intensive post as I am condensing four reviews into one. If it’s too much please let me know and I may switch the images over to links.
Eyeliner is a particular passion of mine. Black lipstick aside, heavy black eyeliner was middle-school EA’s go-to-look. I think there’s still a little goth in me because I still LOVE a good black eyeliner; though probably not caked on as thick. I had been saving up for the infamous MAC fluidline, but my little trip to Ulta resulted in a purchase of this beautifully cheap pot of gel and I’m so glad it happened.
