Too Faced Sweet Dreams Palette – Review and Swatches
I knooooooow! I knoooooow. I have to not-review palettes that are no longer on sale. At least this too has several permanent shade shadows that you’ll be able to get a feel for. Too Faced’s Sweet Dreams Palette was a Holiday 2011 release, it was sold for $52 USD if memory serves correctly. But I didn’t pay for it! Nope. This, dear readers, was another win from DGS Beauty’s Birthday Giveaway. So this picture-laden review is dedicated to the amazing Dinah!
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner – Review and Swatch
The last time I purchased an eyeliner was back when I reviewed the Essence Gel Eyeliner in June of last year. And if i’m not mistaken, it actually took me a while to get that review up! Sadly my little essence pot dried out, a little over a half year later (Is that impressive? Someone tell me!) I still had a bit left but with its death imminent, I decided to seek out a replacement. I ended up buying two (a pencil and another potted liner.) I think you can tell which this is.
This gel offering from Maybelline has been making its rounds on the blogosphere for a while now; and yes i’m going to review it anyway. Mostly because I really can’t stand the idea of posting another blush review after the monstrosity that was the week-without-Larry (the laptop.) Oh. He’s totally back now guys! Well, knock on wood. He goes in for more work than…some celebrity.
KK Center HK Handmade Glamour Big Eye Eyelashes (ES A613) – Review
Okay so, anyone who’s read a beauty blog has probably come across the wide variety of lashes sold by KK Center HK. Their selection is insanely massive and they are eager to work with bloggers; offering sponsorships and samples in a beautiful exemplification of what the blogging review world is all about – real people trying real products and giving real opinions.
It’s not huge news. It’s happened to most of the beauty bloggers I follow already – so why was I so absolutely giddy when I was contacted by KK Center HK with an offer to send me a set of lashes to try out? It’s all about legitimacy! It’s been less than a year (hint hint: expect a surprise for SB’s 1 Year Anni) but I sometimes don’t feel like a legitimate beauty blogger. I’m too dorky, inexperienced and I lack the artistic talent of other ladies online. But somehow, sharing a sponsor makes me feel that much closer to the lovely women I admire online.
Enough gushing though! Onto the lashes!
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – Review and Swatches
I was hesitant to purchase this. Not only did I “recently” (make-up time) purchase the original Naked, but it seemed so excessive to have both the original and the sequel neutral eyeshadow phenom. But, this was my second birthday gift from my youngest sister Harmony and I have to admit – there’s a lot to say for this baby. Let’s get started! And of course, expect a picture heavy post. Oh! I will be refraining from comparing this to Naked 1 from here on – as I’ve got a comparison post in the works and we don’t want to overwhelm you now do we?
Urban Decay Naked Palette (original) Review and Swatches
I can hear the boo-hissing already. I knoooooooow I knoooooooow. I’m the last person in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE to review this palette. The hilarity is that I already have my review for its’ sequel, Naked 2 written up as well. School is clearly a conspiracy to keep me from posting these reviews at a reasonable rate I tell you!
Be warned, I went a little camera happy for this product.
