Milani Baked Blush Haul – Review and Swatches
Some of my fellow bloggers already know this, but I’ve been on an unofficial shopping ban for the last month. Officially speaking, I haven’t made any major purchases in makeup since the end of November. But It was at the start of this month that I made the active choice to stop buying makeup. Granted, it’s been made a little bit easier by two facts.
Fact the first: My little sister Harmony gave me the most AWESOME birthday present ever and their names run around the lines of Burberry, Dior and Armani. Fact the second: It’s allowed me to rediscover some neglected purchases. In this review, I discuss three and P.S. It’s going to be a picture-heavy ride!
e.l.f. Studio Cream Blush in Heartbreaker – Review and Swatch
I mentioned in my review of the E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Color that I’d picked up two makeup items while I was grabbing a couple of brush replacements. That was the first and this is the second. I’ve become something of a blush fiend and I figured I’d be remiss to not give their cream
Clinique Even Better Makeup/Foundation in 06 Honey – Review and Swatches
A while ago (ie: way back in September!) I felt that I was having problems with my go-to foundation (MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid.) I thought it was breaking me out after months of use with no problems. Those issues have seen been explained away but the problems prompted a search for a new foundation. I wanted something healthier, more natural and moisturizing. I ended up at the Clinique section of my local Sephora and was kindly matched as closely as the poor SA seemed to be able to. My purchase was that of Clinique’s Even Better foundation in #06 Honey.
Oh! Advanced warning. This will be a picture-heavy post!
NYX Powder Blush in Cinnamon, Red and Peach – Review and Swatches
Whaa. I miss you guys so much! School is such a time suck. DW, I’m working on pre-writing a bunch of posts so that you can still enjoy the fruits of my lack of shopping restriction. (I just bought an iPhone 4s after realizing there’s no way I can hold out for the 5 and I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Canon Rebel T4i so I can decide if it or the T3i are making their way home with me.)
This post’ll be a quickie (by my standards) but hopefully a helpful one! I’m sure that most of you who’ve read this (or any other) beauty blog are familiar with the NYX powder blushes. In this post I cover the three shades that I own, Cinnamon (orange), Red (Red) and Peach (not so peach, much more super light pink.)
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief – Review
I always used to think I had oily skin. Only oily skin. Years of experience and dermatologist visits have taught me that I have rather dry skin. And all of my oil stripping cleansers, astringents and the like have only made it drier. My skin will then attempt to compensate for the dryness by producing excess oil. This is especially true on my forehead and t-zone. Thus I embarked upon a search for the perfect moisturizer to control both my dryness and the subsequent oiliness.
I tried various drugstore brands before venturing out into the world of Clinique. It was a natural place to start right? The brand is heavily known for their skincare. Both their website and word of mouth directed me to Moisture Surge. So off I went.
